Payroll Provider Changes

MEMORANDUM

       Date: February 17, 2022

To: All Nurses, CNA’s & Caregivers

From: Compassionate Healthcare Nursing Services, Inc. (CHNS)

               RE: Payroll Provider Changes

Effective Date:     February 20, 2022

Effective Monday, February 20, 2022, our payroll provider SunTrust Bank who processes all of the company’s direct deposits and payroll transactions will be switching/transitioning from SunTrust Bank and BB&T Bank to just one bank Truist Bank because of the recent merger between the three Banks during the last couple of years.

All emails, correspondences, communications and notifications that you were receiving in regards to your payroll direct deposits, Form-1099 Tax Returns and etc. from SunTrust Bank (CHNS payroll provider) will now be coming directly from Truist Bank from that date forward. As far as we were told, you don’t have to do anything in regards to changes with your bank account and routing numbers you currently have on file with us for your checking or savings accounts since that current information will still be the same as before during the transitioning and transferring process to Truist Bank.

However, All Nurses, CNA’s & Caregivers who have personal or business bank accounts (checking or savings) currently thru SunTrust Bank & BB&T Bank will be directly affected as well and should notify those banks immediately if you haven’t already been contacted by those banks about all of the account changes taking place once they become Truist Bank.

If you would like to know more information about this merger of SunTrust Bank & BB&T Bank to Truist Bank and other bank account changes, etc., please contact those banks directly or click on this link for more info.: https://www.suntrust.com/resource-center/commercial-corporate/article/truist-changes-details-for-bbt-and-suntrust-clients#.Yg0g7d_MKUk . Also, you can contact SunTrust Bank and BB&T Bank (until February 18, 2022) or Truist Bank (Effective February 20, 2022 about bank account changes, questions, concerns or etc.

Status of Covid-19 Vaccination
July 25, 2021
As many of you know the Delta variant of covid-19 is spreading among unvaccinated people. This new variant is a potential risk for our clients. Several families have requested that we send them vaccinated nurses only. Their concerns have only increased because of the Delta variant. In response to their concerns, we strongly encourage all nurses to be vaccinated. All vaccinated nurses must also provide us with proof of vaccination. Any nurse who elects not to be vaccinated must wear masks, at all times, when they are at a client’s residence. They must also quarantine after traveling, or if they are exposed to someone with the vaccine. Please contact our Nursing Department and/or Management with further questions or concerns.

ANNAPOLIS, MD—With consistent improvements in key statewide health metrics and a fast pace of vaccinations, Governor Larry Hogan today lifted the outdoor mask mandate in Maryland and all restrictions for outdoor dining. The governor also announced that the state has entered a new phase of its vaccination campaign, moving to direct scheduling at mass vaccination sites and continuing to expand points of distribution. “As our vaccinations continue to expand and our health metrics continue to improve, we expect to be able to take additional actions in the weeks ahead and to return to a sense of normalcy,” said Governor Hogan. “However, I want to stress once again that the fastest way to put this pandemic behind us once and for all is for every single eligible Marylander to get vaccinated as soon as possible.” EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: OUTDOOR MASK MANDATE. Masks and face coverings are no longer required outdoors in the State of Maryland. Lifting the outdoor masking order is in line with new CDC guidance. Face coverings are still required for all Marylanders at all large ticketed venues as well as indoors at all public and private businesses and when using public transportation. Marylanders who are not yet vaccinated are strongly encouraged to continue wearing masks, especially when physical distancing is not possible.

Dear License and Certificate Holder, Ordinarily, an applicant for renewal that has waited more than 30 days after the expiration of his/her license or certificate to submit a renewal application must do so by submitting the application in paper form. For those who have elected to postpone renewing their license or certificate in accordance with the Governor's previous executive orders temporarily extending the expiration dates of licenses, permits, and certifications, please be advised that the Governor has issued a revised Executive Order terminating the temporary extension of licenses, permits, and certifications effective June 30, 2021. To accommodate the anticipated volume of additional renewal applications by those who have postponed renewing their licenses and certificates, the Board will permit licensees and certificate holders to submit their renewal applications electronically, even if you are submitting your renewal application more than 30 days after it was originally scheduled to expire. If you have elected to postpone renewing your license or certificate in accordance with the Governor's previous temporary extension, then you are strongly encouraged to submit a renewal application online as soon as possible, and, at a minimum, at least 30 days prior to the June 30, 2021 deadline.
